Created to give Matches fun, meaningful activities during what can be isolating winter months, the Manifest Quest encouraged Bigs and Littles to set a goal and embark on an activity quest. Through intentional planning and teamwork, Matches worked towards their goal and had a chance to win an awesome prize.

Thanks to the enthusiasm of our community, 11 Matches participated, completing 47 activities together over the course of 127 hours. From trying new activities – 29 to be exact! – to having meaningful conversations and serving our community, the Manifest Quest created opportunities for Matches to build memories and deepen the relationships that make mentoring so impactful.

"Lianna and I had such a great time completing the Manifest Quest challenge together—it gave us so many fun opportunities to try new things and just enjoy spending time with each other. From tackling escape rooms to cheering on the UVA women's basketball team to painting, doing press on nails, taking a cooking class, and of course eating plenty of ice cream, every activity helped us build new memories together!" – Big Sister Melanie

Many thanks to our community partners who donated prizes, including an anonymous friend, Frontier Culture Museum of Virginia, Gearharts Fine Chocolates, James Madison's Montpelier, Kilwins, Massanutten Waterpark, Revolutionary Soup, Sbrocco’s Donuts & Espresso, Shenandoah National Park, SunPins, and The Nook. While Little Sister Liana and Big Sister Melanie won the Quest with 176 points and got first choice of prizes, because of these generous partners, every participating Match will receive an amazing prize that suits their interests.
