With Every Step: Thank You, Charlottesville Track Club and Charlottesville Ten Miler Team
Little handing out water a runner
The connections between the race and the Club with BBBSCR run deep, from leadership volunteers (yes you, Mark Lorenzoni and Diane Rosin Okusa) to assistance with hosting annual run/walk events, and more. BBBSCR was proud to be named a secondary beneficiary of the 50th running of the Charlottesville Ten Miler, contested on March 22.
This milestone event was an amazing opportunity for our community and our organization. Not only did BBBSCBR Bigs, Littles, staff, and volunteers have a fun time volunteering at the race, we received a gift of $6,500 and greater awareness for our work and mission through the race’s marketing and reach (nearly 2,200 runners and 400 volunteers).
Thank you to the Charlottesville Track Club and Charlottesville Ten Miler Team, especially race director Karen Murray and Volunteer Committee co-chairs Diane Rosin Okusa and Elaine Cheng, with whom we worked closely!
Giving a thumbs up for the Charlottesville Ten Miler
